I'm not good with introductions but i'll give it a bash
Firstly i would like to thank you very much for accepting me as a member to this forum. I have been visiting for the past month and just reading as a guest what members have been posting and must say learning a lot as well as admiring you travelers.
So to introduce myself (the writer) and my family who are the REAL Gray Nomads.
My name is Maxine ( I am a younger Gray Nomad not yet 40 yo but i hope i pass ( I have grey's in my hair... does that suffice hehe... sorry lame joke )
Both my parents are retired now and in their early 60's My Daddio is Frank and Mum is Liz
I have to say my dad was the one who told me about you guys and i go-ogled your site and found this lovely forum, which i'm hoping to not only meet you wonderful people but share our journey and photos in time too.
In our family of travelers we also have 3 furkids. 2 small dogs (a 11 yo Pomeranian and the youngest in our family a 15 month old Lhasa Aspo) And one very spoilt 10 yo cat - YES the cat is a traveler too Believe it or not he loves it too.
With my daddio recently hitting the retirement list, we are now looking at buying a Motor home / RV. We even went today for a perusal and are still looking to find something that suits us as a family to buy so we can travel in style.
We love camping and fishing and of course both dad and I are keen photographers, love the open road too. In my life we have traveled a fair bit around OZ but are looking at getting ourselves a nice motor home and taking a long trip around OZ. And the best part... for as long as we want and can afford to do. Naturally as long as health serves us all and the right MH too
As for traveling my daddio and I are about to hit the road tomorrow to NSW to go camping on the Murray for a few days and i'm so excited to be going away again i've already packed my bag and am rearing to go!
