Hi everyone. Is someone trying to tell me something?
I fell in love with an ex ambulance merc and bought her, but getting her stripped has proven a sticking point! I took her to Complete mechanics at Hoppers Crossing who said they could do it for $800. I made sure I said the electrics to be stripped too. but when I turned up the guy said id just said to strip the fitments and hed left the electric wires (masses of them!) hanging down as they 'might' go to the heater at the back, which I 'might' want to keep! I tried arguing but it was useless.
So I took her to May West Caravan conversions, who say they also do motorhomes.I liked them as they were older guys who should know what they are doing. But when the guy saw the wires!!!! However he was good enough to say he wasnt sure his electrician would want to do it and it might mean calling in an electrical engineer. The minute I said Id like an itemized bill for all the work Id want doing- cabinetry, electrical etc (Id put it in writing and plans) and that I was on a budget, it may have been me, but..... there was a distinct lack of interest.
As I said it may have been me. So has anyone had any dealings with May West over at hoppers?????
Cheers. Didi
