Yeah .. I know .. too much time on my hands !!
I would be interested in supporting a "sticky" topic (with Cindy's approval) for something like this ..
Among us all here, there are many people who can play an instrument (or more) .. love singing .. enjoy prose and poetry .. tell yarns and crack a few funnies .. able to whistle and put canaries to shame .. and numerous other talents that we ourselves keep under wraps as that is part of our individual comfort zones.
How would you feel about the opportunity to be able to present just a small "something" you've put together for us that are also interested in doing something similar ..?
We can do this quite easily here by doing a simple recording in an mp3 format on most computers .. a little practice and we can each improve our own recordings before we upload a file on here for others to listen to ..
I would intend it to be a fun thing that we can all enjoy and not based on a professional quality .. there will naturally be different standards presented, but that's life and it's something we enjoy doing ourselves. It would be a way to express something we enjoy doing that still gives us each that comfort zone of anonymity that is part of this site .. If it can be placed on here as an mp3 file, we could really expand the range of interest within the realms of morality and of course, .. copyright !
Could be such fun .. and full of giggles ! .. but with the right input, I'm sure we could make it a great point of interest and past-time ..
Now I would be keen to hear from you folk .. I'm open to all suggestions as it would certainly require a group participation to work, and I know there are muso's out there as well as other very knowlegeable people who would be of great assistance.

I suppose I could share the poems I have written - well 'doggerel' really. But I would just type them out not recite them. Of course they have NEVER made it to print so maybe this is my chance!!!

Hi there Alice .. but another thought .. you don't have to recite them out aloud in real-time anyway .. We could maybe find someone that could help you easily record them (individually) on a small mp3 file.
Then when you're happy with your presentation, it's just a matter of attaching a "file" on here and uploading ..
Something you could prepare in your own time .. nothing more original Alice, than to have someone presenting their own material .. but most happy you are interested .. Excellent ! .. and thanks for your input.

Idea has some merit. However, I think I would be in agreement with the twins OOPS!! ... sorry - with Doug
I travel full-time, on a wireless internet plan - I have a max/limited download. It would/may take up too much of my download to listen to MP3's - particularly if I listen to a few of them.
I could upload an MP3 ... but not listen to many for sure.
