POSSIBLE OPPORTUNITY TO CATCH UP WHEN HEADING FROM VIC TO SE QLD

Late next week.. (around 8 Aug) I plan to head North from Central Vic to SE QLD.... I prefer to start somewhere around Mansfield and stick to the mountain ranges below the snow line as that is where the photo opportunities and scenery are.... I am attempting to loosely plan opportunities to meet up with fellow travellers on overnight or perhaps a couple of days stopover... (my travel tends to be haphazard and relaxed) so if anyone looks like being, anywhere in the area where I can camp with or catch up with people who may be in the area or planning a few nights stopover I would be interested..
I have often traveled that route by myself and not met anyone for weeks... This time I am looking to organise something different...
If you have any ideas or suggestions pls drop me a line...

Isuzuswag, I am currently at Inverell heading very slowly towards Brisbane. Keep posting where you are and which way you are heading and may cross paths. I travel in a MH, called Miss Daisy so if you see me, just give me a call on the two way.

Hi Isuzuwag, we will be leaving Rainbow Beach tomorrow (Tuesday the 5th), heading down to Byron 7th, and on from there to arrive back in Melbourne around the 15th. I expect our paths will cross along the way.

Looks like you have plenty of offers Isuzu mate. Never on your own out here in the playground.
I just pulled into Boulder Creek Camp here in Q'land and was greeted by 4 other happy campers.

Its been a leap of faith to finally get on the road and in day 3 I have experienced some great days and lots of relaxation.
I can imagine that it will take a while to settle in.

Laurens - remember this on your travels - Life is a journey, not a destination!!!!! If you see a town name that intrigues you - go and have a look - never know what or who you might find there - today we have backtracked and headed back the way we came, just because we could!!!! Next stop? Who Knows? Currently in Paraburdoo - near Tom Price in WA - great caravan park - $25 night, no extra for extra people, and that includes, water, power and washing machines and dryers!!!!!! How good is that?
Take time to smell the roses was a thing I used to say to a couple of people a while ago, boy have they learnt to slow down - sometimes to a dead stop!!!!

Hi Jules, I have slowed down on the way back from Townsville this year, Last year I was home in a week. This year it's been a week and half and still no sight of base camp. Maybe early September in time to see the quack.

And let us know when you arrive in SEQ. Travel Bug & I are always happy to meet fellow nomads, even though we've both been rounded for awhile.
