Has anybody got a Foxtel box on the road. How well does it work? We have a roof dish and have someone who can install it.
Thanks for any help.

We have a Foxtel satellite system at home so take the box on the road with us using a portable 85 Cm dish.
Works great but if you use a roof mounted dish you may find that trees are your enemy as you need a direct clear line of site to the satellite.
Using a $150 signal finder and/or a smart phone with Wikicamps app. it can be setup in minutes and when setup properly you get a perfect picture.
I've now set ours up so that the van is wired so that I plug the dish coax cables into the outside connections on the van and the box is plugged into the inside connectors so setup is very quick and accurate.
All in the time that it takes for the kettle to boil!

Must remember that when we finally get around to setting ours up! Also, we have the Antennae Mate app on our iPad and find it is the best thing ever for finding TV signals ....

you can certainly do that if your box is a satellite box. It won't work if it is a "cable" box.
