G'day Jim and Leonie,
sounds like you two are going ok. Hope all is well.
We are in the Mareeba country caravan park just out of Mareeba. Rodeo on this weekend so the town is jumping.
Here for another week or so and then head over to the coast and southwards via Paronella park.
stay safe and enjoy Darwin.
regards to you and Leonie

Wish we were somewhere in the van. Original plan in June was aborted due to illness, now planning for mid-August. Fingers crossed.

We"re at Denham and moving south to Kalbarri tomorrow. We are constantly amazed at the beauty of W.A. - not so van park prices when they want $48 p/n at Kalbarri. Then we'll move inland to where we can free camp again.

We're at home in Perth, wishing we could be elsewhere in warmer climes....
Regards Kalbarri, I think the Anchorage on the foreshore (northern end of town) may be the cheapest, but these rates are 12 months old, see;
Watch the tree branches falling in the Tudor, also bombing from above by c.o.c.k.atoos.....
The new ablution block is best. Both the inland and coastal gorges are magnificent, good Tourist Bureau on the foreshore road.
For very cheap accommodation (powered or unpowered sites) after you have seen the Kalbarri sights, Hutt River Province is well worth the visit, Princess Shirley has died but Prince Leonard is still alive but getting on in age. Wonderful paintings in his chapel by renowned artists.

We stayed at the Murchison Caravan Park in Kalbarri, paid $33.00 per night (early April this year) think we got Top Tourist discount
