I was reading on some one else's post about twisted and hard power leads, here,s what I do ,I roll my leads in a loop and tie with two pieces of Velcro,I never tie them like a rope, this causes them to go all rigglie and look like a dogs breakfast ,in time tying them like a rope will break the lead inside , plus if you tie them in a loop they will lay flat so nobody trips over them, they can go as hard as they like they still lay flat.
Just remember NOT to leave them coiled up when in use.
A coiled power lead will turn into a heater element and melt the insulation, very dangerous.

Hi all
The best way I have discovered to roll up a power lead is on a hose reel. that way you have to unroll it all before you use it, prevents wear and tear and it keeps everything in one place during travel.
NEVER ever ever use a power lead rolled up, not nice at all, as stated by Kendo.
Safe travels

My post was to show how I store my leads NOT use them, A coiled lead in use is a NO NO.

G'Day Lance,
Unasked for ADVICE for FREE mate. Only on a Caravan Forum! Nice job with the leads by the way, very neat.

And that's exactly how I took it Lance, good tip.
For some reason any post mentioning power, batteries or solar is always good for a few pages of well meant, if not always accurate advice.
