After many months we have finally taken the plunge and joined this great forum. Why we waited so long I don't know, as we've always believed this is such a great initiative for those who spend all or much of their time on the road.
The information which is so generously shared by grey nomads is invaluable for less knowledgeable travellers and we hope to be able to further increase the knowledge base of those that regularly use the forum.
Just by way of introduction, we have been spending about three months a year on the road since 2000 when I retired from the workforce. In the first ten years or so we used caravan parks almost exclusively due to sporting commitments around Australia. After finally putting the clubs in a cupboard for good, I discovered the joys of free camping. We now spend maybe two nights out of ten in parks. What a saving!!
We are currently still using a good old Falcon wagon to pull us around and our home away from home is an off-road Goldstream camper trailer. Whilst the Falcon has been slightly modified to take us a bit further off the bitumen than might be otherwise advisable, we expect to move up to a Pajero in the next few months, so we can really get away from the crowds.
We both are looking forward to interacting with the many regular contributors here on the forum and hope to catch up with many of you down the track.

"He" might be SirW but he is not royalty, actually he is really a 'has been', Cindy just put 'Master' by mistake and can't seem to change it and I tell you that for free. Me, I'm just a peasant.
