Actually it is shining now through the fog at Mudgee, although it is still -2.5 at present. Orange was freezing, but such a great place to be. I got to play in the snow. When all the other people are working on their tans, I have been dancing to a different drum. Loved walking in the snow and looking at the winter wonderland. And when it is cold you get to have the best soup ever, and the coffee was to die for.
Loved catching up with friends in Orange and having a good time. Now time to hit the road again and keep exploring. I cannot get over how breathtaking the scenery is around this area. Every corner produces another site that the eyes cannot help but smile at. The only down side is there really nowhere one can pull over to take the photos of it. So you will all have to just hit the road in this area and see it for yourself. I have been told by the locals, whilst Spring is pretty, Autumn is the season to be here. So will be back during that season.
We really enjoy your posts, your spirit and way of thinking. If you dance to a different drum you can make your own music.

One of the best things about winter (if not the best) is sitting in front of an open fireplace for hours watching the flames dance and crackle. But here in Taree on the mid north coast of NSW, it'll be 5C overnight (I'm watching the weather on TV) but sunny and 22C tomorrow. How's that for winter?

Thanks Wombat for that. I had actually taken those shots with my IPad, before the new camera. I changed a couple of shots to B&W with the edit feature. I like the way black and white shots actually give a different detail. I guess I will be able to do black and white shots with the camera, but how on earth do you do it with a little colour also. More tutorials, and propping myself somewhere for a longer stay and getting some instrutions from a camera buff somewhere I think. It is fun, and I am enjoying the taking of photos, something that I really had not been that into previously. TThere are just so many beautiful places to take pics of and for me it has also given me a new perspective of all sorts of things that I have previously dismissed or not even seen.

its all done with layers in PaintShop Pro x6 like Photoshop, if you buy PSP then do a google search for tutorials for PSP you will find lots of things to do with PSP.
There is another way you could download Gimp and do a search for tuts for that program and Gimp is a free program, PSP is not free but there is a trial version
