Congratulations Doug, nice tug and nicely set up!
I had a Triton once with a fibreglass rear canopy and they are worth their weight in gold for all those extras.
I was towing and Avan with mine also...

Very Nice, It's a shame it has to get dirty, They tell me anything
thats red goes 10% faster than anything else. If you paint the AVan red
you'll be just a blur on the road and that Wombat ( notice the capital W in respect
for his sir ness)will not be able to find you.
Happy travels with the new rig.

I thought of another one... chug a lug tug, Doug. Anyway, I'm jealous. I just forked out $1500 for a new cylinder head and no one can see the damn thing! PJ runs nicely though. Happy travels in your bright red machine, Doug.

Thanks everyone. I reckon it will do the job at hand without any problem at all. Even though it is capable of pulling the big stuff I won't be, so it won't be overworked. I reckon the homework has paid off for sure.

Thanks again everyone. I am extremely happy with it. I agree it looks good but equally as good where it needs to be. Performing like I want it to.
I am going to go right out there and say it is the best car I have ever had. Can't fault it.

Hi Doug,
I realize this post is a bit old but haven't seen any recent posts on tow vehicles (tugs). I am looking at something for the long haul after I get out of company cars later this year. I have a Corromal 16' pop top ( around 1150kg tare) and am looking at a dual cab 4x4 diesel, probably a 3-4 yo Hilux/Triton/Navara/Colorado, depending on price mainly as I realize mileage up to a point is not an issue with diesels as long as they are serviced correctly and regularly ( have had 2 diesel company vehicles).
Would like your and any body else's thoughts on these four as they seen to be the most common on the road towing mid sized vans.
Hope you get as good a run out of yours as I get out of mine.
Cheers, John
