Alinta Gas Customers - "Fair Go Advantage Discount"

The below info came from a bank employee and is not a hoax. A friend of mine just tried it also and got $70 off their next bill and $25 off the next 7 bills. I assume it reverts to normal after that, I am waiting for a call back on mine so will see how I go.
"If you have gas at home supplied by Alinta Gas, it would be worth you calling them to ask about their "Fair Go Advantage discount" They will take a contact number from you and someone from their customer care team will call you back to discuss. I put it to them that I was a long term customer and a friend had told me able this discount. Initially I was offered $65 off my next bill and then $35 off the next 7 bills, but I let them know my friend had a better offer so I then was given $90 off my next bill with $40 off the next 7 bills. I figure they have tiered offers based on household consumption. They will ask that you to agree to "fair go policy" etc. You are not locked into a 24 month contract either. Hope some of you can save some money and if not might be able to pass this information onto your family and friend."

Hmmmm..........being only a small gas user they gave us $40 of the next bill and $15 off the next 7 quarterly bills, better than a kick in the pants I suppose. After that the bill reverts to normal charges. I'm not sure, but I think Alinta only services WA and SA, if so would only apply to those states...
Edit: Put wrong discount figures for us, now corrected.

Mrs W just rang Alinta and was told that program was for another supplier not Alinta but they do have a discount scheme and will ring back 2-3 days, they also wanted a name of who we found out about the scheme, when she said Vic they wanted a surname but I did not know it, so did not pass that on. Hmmmmm
