Hi all we are looking at buying a new caravan , we have come down two ...Nova....or....Concept ,would like to hear from anyone who has either of these vans ........good bad or other wise any tips about the vans .....we are hoping to take of in early 2015 for a few months ......
I like the Nova .... hubby likes the concept.....

As they are both good vans Anita, maybe go with the best deal offer.
I just did that with a new tug, got down to two I really liked but decided to go with best deal/offer. Colorado Crew Cab Ute won by the way.

We purchased a Newlands Zodiac ( Concept ) semi off road caravan this year from a caravan show in Melbourne, our reason was that it suited us and it had what we want for travelling around Australia, we wanted a additional items, these we're accommodated and we agreed on a price that we were happy with. It's not an easy decision to make and sometimes it can be which one you most relaxed in and it meets your needs. Good luck with your choice and happy caravanning.

Well a typical conundrum here,, we all get em.
One way (not scientific) is for you to write down (separately of course) what you like about each van and what you don't like.
To score; IF you both like a feature on van A, van A scores 2 points for that feature, and then one point each for each feature that you BOTH like as an individual. Of course what you both don't like come off the score, the same way.
Do the same for van B.
Sit down with a beer/wine and discuss,,, the solution may be there for you,, if not you refine this process until you have some degree of consensus.
This process can take the emotion/competition out of it and show you many things that may not be obvious to you now.

Oh boy, can open, worms everywhere! We looked for 3 years for a caravan to live in 24/7 as well as grey nomad stuff. After exhaustive research and price comparisons we settled on the 20 foot Jayco starcraft at the outstanding cash price of $54,000 with solar, leather trim, two house batteries, washing machine ESC, fusion sound.
We looked far and wide and discovered that the vans a just about the same. Many dealers told us the Jayco was built to a price! Yeah OK however the van still has the same luxury as the traveler ($$$$$) and more expensive vans. All the fittings and add ons are the same breed eg Dometic, aircommand etc. I see no major problems at all. The starcraft tows well, is very comfortable and a good place to live.
I guess the key is how much is in the bank when you buy a van, also stand in the shower and sit on the loo to see if you fit. Mind you the traveler is a very nice (expensive) van.
