Hi Guys,
Been a while and now that I am widower would like to share some camping times and some travel out of Cairns.. A bit new at this single stuff so would prefer to cAMP LOCal for a while..Tinaroo is a good spot and some good spots on the tablelands. I have a 17 ft pop top dragged by a series 80 land cruiser.. I am an avid camp oven cook so you can expect some great tucker.
Hope to hear from you soon..

You need to travel further afield Brian.
Not all are dead on their feet or expecting a free meal ticket.
There are a lot a very independent ladies out there.

I can guarantee you I stand firmly on my own two feet and I manage that well in the relationship I have. What's his is his and what's mine is mine and we travel in our own vehicles. Not letting my independence that I have worked so hard for over these last few years, be taken away from me.
Edited for spelling.

Mr B2 or whatever it was up there, with your attitude its probably best you have given up on women, and as for your not being a free meal ticket, well I don't think you would have much if anything to give for free anyway, somehow I think your finding yourself safely being kept at a distance from many women....Kisha

Sorry BG, but the reason I will never "pair up" again, is the fact that for me, 3 times, the reverse has been true. Never again.
Cheers,
Sheba.

Hi Lance I hope you manage to find a travelling companion but if you don't just get out there and have some fun on your own. You will get to meet some great people out there travelling on there own. It's not too daunting after a couple of trips. I am currently doing the big lap in the company of Solo Steve and Happy Wanderer and we are having a great time. Cheers Colleen

I don't think it has turned into a slanging match at all, Crazy Dog - just different opinions being aired.

Hey Crazy Dog, just walk outside, hook up your van and turn left or right.
Its very simple. Go with the flow and you never know who you will meet.
Acan.

Hey there, I'm a solo woman traveling with my little dog...so not quite solo...
I'm a full time traveler and have been on the road about 15 months. At the moment I'm a little north of Brisbane around Caboolture heading towards the warmth.
I quite enjoy a little male company, I don't have one foot in the grave and neither am I looking for a meal ticket...
I'm an independent woman/ financially secure and have no need for a man passed a bit of company.....
I just love my life on the road and have met some wonderful people along the way...........thankfully very few with a chip on the old shoulder.....
Lance if your looking for a little company I'm good for a cuppa some where along the road...cheers

I think you could give this one a miss Lesley....
I traveled alone during 07 and 08 - favourite regions were kimberleys - byron bay - (northern rivers) - margaret river.
Been married twice - the first I divorced - the second I buried (sighs) - beware No. 3 - I may poison him - JOKING lol lol.
I'm reasonably independent - I enjoy my own company - once in a while I felt alone so I booked into a backpackers or similar to find company.
I'm trapped in Melbourne until Jan. Feb. next year - (family concerns) - then I'll be considering my options - hoping to go outback again.
I wasn't aware of this website last time - it would be great to meet up with some fellow travelers.
