The majority of them are Southern Europeans who moved here after the War I read......So wont their Pensions be discontinued if they do?

Gday...
Personally speaking, living ANYWHERE overseas is not going to be "cheaper" (or better) than living "on the road" in this fantastic country - no matter what Mr Rabbit, Smokin' Joe or Little Short Billy can do to me.

Next time I go back to my home in the Philippines, I might stay there !!!
Why would they move to Greece where the economy is worse than ours? I think they just had to drum up a story to fill the columns.

I've been through a heart attack and a cancer op plus radiation, and now a gum issue, all of which was taken care of by Medicare. I'd hate to think what it would have cost if I'd been living in a "cheaper" country.

Too right Gary. What can you do overseas that you can't do in Australia?

I came here as a child post-war, so I suppose there is a country in Europe where they would let me stay, and I believe they even have good public health care and social security. But luckily I am an Australian now, so I don't have to go anywhere else to live. It's true the pension isn't riches, certainly I can't pay $30+ to park my camper van in a CP, but it is enough to live on and travel around this great country. Sorry guys, you won't be getting rid of me. I can't imagine why anyone who is allowed to stay here would opt to go somewhere else, but hey, if that's what you want to do I won't lose sleep over it.
If they are going overseas to live then I guess they were not "grey nomads" anyway because I don't think any other country allows "free-camping". 'Cept maybe third world countries where having a home is not a requirement or even a right!

If we are in good health, have a MH or Caravan and can explore this great country of ours, we are all indeed lucky...

I find it hard to believe that anybody would want to leave the most awesome country in the world, just think about it if you leave there are thousands who take ridiculous risks to get here because they know that AUSTRALIA is the absolute best and if they get here first there may not be a spot for you if you change your mind and want to come back.
