I was babysitting my 2.5 yr old grandson the other day. He was easily kept amused as we worked our way through the birthday cake book (you know the ones - the kids have to decide what sort of birthday cake their mother will make this year) when we turned the page and there was a lovely wombat cake. 'Oooh that's disgusting!' says 2.5 yr old (he also knows 'totally grose man') Then I realised he thought the cake was covered in 'poo' and not chocolate butter icing. Poor wombat. But once I explained it was chocolate (a favourite of his) he was happy.

Don't you think all that chocolate icing would be yummy Dougwe?

Problem is Ruth, I'd think I was eating my mate wombat
Second thoughts, no I wouldn't, the chocolate wombat is much nicer looking
I think it would get a bit sickly very quickly Ruth. A cake with the shape of a road going off in the distance on top sounds the ticket.

I think it would be yummy, would the road have the twins on it?

Sorry Ruth but wombat is taking over your thread.
No mate, they will be in my new tug that I'm still waiting on. That's OK though.
Now, I hope your grandson enjoys whatever cake he decides on Ruth. A birthday cake is always yummy. If he chooses the wombat one he (grandson) can always put a paper bag over his head and the he won't have to look at it, just make sure there is a little hole for his nose so he can breath and one for his mouth so he can eat

Dougwe I don't mind wombat taking over the thread - I did post it about a wombat anyway. And I've finally caught up with the news that you've got a new tug! Been away too long we have.

Not quite got it yet Ruth, Tuesday or Wednesday this week is the big day.
Ruth, it's not "be nice to wombat week" They didn't allow for it in the budget.

Dougwe, it's nice to be nice to wombat sometimes. We might need his help one day!
Sorry, I haven't been well enough to make a cake. You'll have to ask Mrs Wombat to make it. She would know how to make it better than me .... and you've got the instructions with the photo.
