Hi we have a Jayco Outback Eagle 2008, and our tyres are filled with nitrogen, will it be hard to find places to top up our tyres if we need to when we are travelling, particularly when we are in remote areas.

And its a con perpetuated by tyre dealers and been discredited. Just go with normal air. Don't forget to get the air changed to winter air so they match the season. will run cooler

I think nitrogen is used in racing tyres where there may be advantages due to the stress and high temperatures at high speeds but not needed in a van or car.
No need to remove the nitrogen just add air when needed and at the moment air is still tax free, so tuck into the tax free air while you still can.
Cheers

Thanks everybody, we bought the camper 2nd hand, but it is almost new, the tyres aren't even dirty, lol, thankyou all for your great advice, I didn't even think that it would cost to replace, looks like when we have to top up, we will be travelling on air. This a great forum for us new comers, thank you all so much.

Surely spring air is best as it puts an extra bounce in your tyres.

That's the "nitrogen effect". It repels dirt and sludge. One of the main reasons for the excessive cost.
If you use "air", be prepared for dirty tyres.

Hi All
Been thinking and that is dangerous. What if I start up a mobile service following people about that use the better quality nitro in there tyres. I could get a free holiday keeping up with them all over the country. Ralph

Recently put new tyres all around at Bob Jane. They convinced me to put nitrogen in all tyres at $5.00 a pop. I finally agreed after being convinced of the benefits of nitrogen against air. Bob Jane have a deal whereby if you fill your tyres with nitrogen and pay $5.00 a tyre, you can have your tyres checked and additional nitrogen put in if required, at any Bob Jane store in the country for FREE !! I notice they put a red cap on the valves. This must be the message to other Bob Jane stores that you have initially filled up with nitrogen at another Bob Jane outlet.
