Use the search function .. lots of reading to keep you occupied .. I run Firefox on Windows 7 and its served me well ..

Agree with Bob, download and install Firefox, then set up popup blocker and adblock, works a treat, I simply don't see ads.
As someone else remarked Chrome is very intrusive, Google collect all sorts of info about your browsing habits, tried it once, never again.

Definitely make sure that you get AdBlocker Addon..
there are a few More but It depends on what you want to do..

I'm sure you should already have it ? Add blocker just needs to be activated.. Yes I've lost some features that I used on XP . More the point getting us to working with it!!
Can anyone help here, I have a recently bought new laptop, it came with windows 8. Now I've got the hang of using that from previously using XP.
However I keep getting annoying pop ups, every time I open a new page I have to delete several pop ups.
I run explorer and Google Chrome.
