Happiness in this world, when it comes, comes incidentally.
Make it the object of pursuit, and it leads us a wild-goose chase, and is never attained.
Follow some other object, and very possibly we may find that we have caught happiness without dreaming of it.

I have a different perspective Rocky ..
I believe Nathaniel Hawthorne persued his endeavours laced with much negativity ..
If you read his Biography, you'll find he died whilst suffering anxiety and depression.
I think if one goes about life with a positive attitude and is able to handle rejection in a placid, orderly manner,
then the stairway of life has only small steps but a great hand-rail ..

I don't consciously chase happiness per se. I just do ma thang with a cool 'tude (as they say) and let happiness come to me of its own accord. It's kinda like playing hard to get. :)

Living life with a glass half full and an adventurous spirit I believe helps to generate happiness and a great lifestyle and tomorrow will be absolutely fantastic especially if you get out and explore this awesome country we live in .

Yes, the ol' glass half full trick, which is the same as a glass half empty except for one thing... attitude. That's the only thing that makes a difference. And I believe happiness is a byproduct of attitude no matter what the circumstances - rich or poor, young or old. That's the theory, anyway.
