Bro in law has a dometic fridge which continually buzzes when hooked up to 12 volt from vehicle. Says has always done it from day one but doesn't sound right to me. Any suggestions?

Have you had a look in the back of the fridge to see if some one has fitted a small 12v cooling fan near the heat extractor. ?

I noticed mine was humming for a while when and after running on gas. I was a bit concerned but it stopped after a while. Next time I am in a big town I will ask someone

The van is brand new from manufacturer. I have the same van but a it might have been wiring from his vehicles 7 pin plug or Anderson plug but I hooked my car up to it and same buzzing sound when on 12 volt.

check the voltage at the source and then at the fridge on startup. give you an idea of the voltage drop across the cable which will tell you if the cable is large enough. Never know , you might have to upgrade the cable.
