Hi just wondering what "you " think is the best buy, highway use only. They are to go onto a 2012 bt 50 dual cab 4x4 used primarily for towing a van.

If they make em in 17" (Edited - just checked and they do) you could try Bridgestone 697's, which have replaced 694's. We're changing over to them from Coopers STC's,,, good all round tyre and I paid $309 2 weeks ago for 16" on Tojo.

Keep an eye on ply rating .. I have similar tyres on work Triton and I'm surprised how well they grip! Considering my own vehicles are WRX's / FG GTE Falcon.. Weight wise I would check on ply rating as light truck generally are just that ..

I assume you are considering going up in size, and if this is so, then check whether it will affect the accuracy of your speedo and odometer.

I just replaced tyres on my Iveco MH. I went to Bob Jane after a blowout. My tyre size is 225/65 R16. 8 ply. I was offered Pirelli tyres but figured they would be too expensive.. Nooooo !!! $194.00 each discounted to $175.00. Couldn't beat a deal like that.
Yours are 17 inch but worth a call to Bob Jane.

Just today I got quotes on exact tyres, 265/65 x17. Bfgoodrich, All terrain, $325 same quote different tyre place. Copper were $20 dearer, Mickey Thompson, $25 more again.
Side walls are 3ply
But since then, chatted to a mate and he reckons they are not so good on bitumen in the wet.
He reckons the rugged terrain are better for predominantly black top.
Any feed back would be appreciated,
Thanks,
MJ
