Ever since I started life on the road I am asked if I will travel with a dog, and my answer has been a resounding NO, for a variety of reasons. However I have now a new companion that arrived on Mothers Day.
Let me introduce to Rufus, he is a quiet fellow, well behaved, and seemingly getting along well with Miss Daisy. So maybe there will be photos of Rufus enjoying our adventures in future pics.
What a coincidence! Yesterday I was in the local Sallys op shop where I spotted the perfect travelling companion in a bin of stuffed toys. It was love at first sight! I've always had a feeling that this would happen... that I'd be in an op shop somewhere and I'd recognize my new best friend. So here he is, and I've named him BB, short for Bubba Banana.
OOOOhhhh - he is just gorgeous, Gary - almost as cuddly as Billeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

Gary BB is just beautiful. Maybe one day Rufus and BB might even meet on the road somewhere having an adventure.
At present we are enjoying the perfect weather along the South coast of NSW.

I agree, Shekon. Rufus and Bubba would get on like a house on fire. Actually, I asked the lady at Sallys if Bubba had been speyed and she said yes, of course. All their soft toys undergo the usual snip and distemper thing before they're offered for sale. I checked just to make sure... no sign of any dangly bits. Don't want any surprises on the Odyssey ya know... a camper full of little Bubbas. I think plush toys are the go... no worries about fleas and ticks, no leads, no noise, no poo and no strange odors. When they get a bit grubby just bung 'em in with the regular wash. Quick spin dry and they're all fluffy again.

Halfpint, he is as cute as all get out and so quiet. I had to put him outside to enjoy the sunset last night.
I'm happy you're taking good care of Rufus, Shekon. Isn't it amazing how attached you get, and how quickly? I can't imagine being without Bubba now. I took him to my dentist the other day to introduce him and to have him checked out before the big trip.
And I thought I was a sick puppy......................seems I am in good company. They are Sssoooooooo Cuteeeee. Pugs

Pugs, welcome, you have no idea how much trouble these furry friends get into. Rufus has been to the beach, he loves the sunsets, has had fish and chips, and a beer. I have trouble getting him to sit in one spot for too long and he tends to jump over the furniture. A cheeky little fella.
Do I get bored at times, quite possibly.
You will see Pugs that Rufus was so excited by fish and chips that he was doing cartwheels.
