Most of us are using a G P S now days and have our address at home saved as ''Home''
Crooks are stealing your GPS and know (obviously) that you are not home....
To save your home being burgled make your home address as any number......instead of the street number where you really live.
Cheers

I used to set mine to an intersection down the road - figured that if I couldn't find my way home from there unassisted then I should give it away and become a recluse on top of a mountain in Tibet!

Good idea, but you should not use a valid street number or someone else's house might be burgled instead!

I have put the address of the local Police Station as my home address in my GPS.

I have a hospital. If I can't find my way from there I'm in deep wombat cubes.

My GPS shows home as the other driveway into my property, where there is a savage guard dog and it's 6' 4" owner

Now the police station is a good idea. Yes, just the town is a good idea (if it's small enough) as we should all know how to get home once we arrive in the town and the general distance to get there.

GPS to find my way home???
Sheesh!
I may only be a 'young' Grey Nomad at 56 (although the Grey One is 7 years older) and we have only lived in this town for 9 months but if at any time I couldn't find my way home to here from anywhere I might just not be brave enough to go anywhere ever again!
I have in the past, when having to drive through Sydney to get home after a weekend away, with a horse float and two horses in tow (as well as a very tired daughter) logged in 'Gosford' simply to get me onto the Motorways and Freeways etc.
Now I live in Tumut which is, I think, the centre of the universe. So how could I possibly not find my way home?
Surely no-one needs to put in their actual address to find their way home???
Actually a girlfriend and I who have done lots of great trips together love nothing better than getting 'lost'.
You just never know where you might end up! And what you might discover!
(And if we couldn't find our way home for a few days I don't think we would have been too heartbroken lol)
