Sturdy gun for draining & filling non-corrosive liquids
Designed for use with gear oils, gear boxes, transfer cases, differentials etc
The Toledo Suction Gun is the perfect tool for transferring gear oils from mechanical components such as gearboxes, transfer cases and differentials. This can be particularly helpful with changing oil in components where no drain plug is supplied and the user would otherwise have to unnecessarily replace a gasket in order to completely remove the oil. This sturdy metal suction gun includes a 300mm flexible vinyl hose which is ideal for reaching the lowest lying areas in these components. Not only is this product great for removing oils, it can also be used for re-filling to complete the job.

.. Sounds like a great unit to have .. will now consider one myself.
Maybe I could find a way of fitting a "magnetic" pickup to the end of the hose too .. would give me peace-of-mind if nothing was evidently present ..
(gee .. old school mechanics eh !) .. never mind .. some things I can't change !
.. but I do like the simplistic approach to the task ..

This is a cheaper one almost 1/2 the price. Also just squirt the new oil in no funnels or oil going on the floor of your genny cover, its won me over lol
Go to a pharmacy and ask for a 100 cc syringe
will cost cost around five bucks

Been there done that, takes app 13 to 14 squirts to put the oil back in , no thanks on a syringe. Also use it to do my transmission or diff as there in no dipstick on a 1999 Ford Fairmont, auto trans. So happy to outlay $30.00 far less then a slab of beer or a packet of 50's ciggys?

Now I know where I can get one of those.
Been wanting an oil syringe for a while.
The 4x4 has a slow seep in the front axle.
Far easier & cheaper to check the oil every few months than have to pull the axle apart to replace a seal.
Syringe will be handy for transfer case etc.

Having a 2 kva inverter generator changing the oil by tipping it over a pan is a real pain
I have purchesed one of these from Super cheap and can do a oil change without laying the genny over and change the oil in like 5 mins flat.
Except 1 thing its $29.95 but in my books its worth it?

Got the oil suction unit today, just 1 problem is the hose just fits in tight into the oil filler hole.
But I overcame that problem I put a smaller hose inside the other clamped it, bingo did a oil removal and new oil in in 6 mins.
