We are off to Rutherglen to replace the white port supplies on the 9th May and thought that we would take in Greens Lake for a few days on the way since we have not been there and heard so much about it. Hope to see some of you there. A question, if there has been rain does it get a bit muddy? The pictures I have seen do not appear to show a lot of grass where the vans park.
Regards to all,
Phil B.

Phil, if you get the lake frontage sites it can get a bit muddy but if you go up to the tree line sites there not too bad as there is some grass. Just take it easy getting in or out and you should be fine. Usually there are not that many GN's from here there at this time of year. Most if not all would have moved to greener pastures, well maybe warmer climates anyway.

Thanks Doug, we usually follow the sun at this time of year but will be going later on.

As Doug says - stick up closer to the tree line, rather than waterfront - and watch your step - the roads are very slippery when wet!

Phil, I can guarantee you won't miss out on the sun here in down town Townsville and I tell you that for free. I wouldn't mind a couple of days respite actually.
