Long saga but keeping it short fridge is playing up, trying to get the gas on results in nothing but when pushing ignite button it lights up the battery moniter like a Xmas tree, but no gas.....has spent a day and a half at gas people to no avail except making my purse a good deal lighter....what to do next?
Can one buy a reconditioned fridge? The new ones are quite pricey and I live in my motorhome so do rather need a fridge...any ideas?

If the frig works well on 240vac, If not already done, have a gas certified person, check/replace the Gas regulator, check/replace the hose from the gas bottle, check/clean the gas jet, if still not working look at blowing out the gas line. ( This assumes that you have a Full LPG bottle of gas and that the Home battery is fully charged)
Also some gas Thermostat/regulators on the front panel of the frig, in the electrronics box have been known to fail, ie grandkids twisting the knob and the knob breaks and the thermo is set in the low/off position even though the front knob can turn to high cool, this broken part can be replaced at a low part cost, but a hefty cost to get to the part involved.
And of course check to see that the other half has not turned off the Gas valve underneath the sink where ever.
NOTE All gas work to be carried out by a qualified person as LPG Gas is a dangerous substance.

Where are you at the moment..
I would be happy to look at it for you if you are around the North Coast of NSW, and the cost would be the usual slab..
If not I am happy to talk you through a few tests that will determine the problem if you give me a ring..
my phone number is on the website below..
