what is the best option for grilling oysters without electricity please. I can find gas ovens but not really gas grills. We curently use like a little blow torch to sear them but it does leave a bit of gas taste in ones mouth.

Welcome to the gang amandaandmichelle, enjoy here and out in the playground.
My suggestion would be get yourself a Weber Baby Q. You can do perfectly magnificent oysters and anything else you can do in a oven or BBQ. Just get a trivet, place two layers of foil under, temp up high and cook away. Just peeeeerfect.
You should also check out the "What's Cooking" section of the forum as there is talk anout the Q there.
Guaranteed, you can't go wrong.

Welcome to the forum.
You can put the oysters on an oven tray and do them in the oven. Or put them one the B.B.Q in the shells and cover loosely with foil.
