New to this forum but not to caravanning, we tow with a BF Falcon (previously a Fairlane) and have always stuck to the black stuff, next month we are off to visit family in Capella and thought we might like to visit Carnarvon NP, we got as far as the crashed Dakota once before but chickened out because of the rough looking road ahead, so can anyone please advise on whether the road in is suitable for the car or is it FWD country only?
Also, what's there when we arrive? I haven't done any research as yet, thought I'd start with the real people first, then see about all the touristy stuff.
Thanks folks,
Bevan

Unless road is bad due rain/washouts you'll get your car in no worries. Just drive slowly etc,, road will be closed if not suitable for 2WD.
Great place to visit especially if you like walking into a time warp of bush/greenery/water features and great bush scenery.
We loved it and stayed overnight in van by old Dakota with 2 other nomads.

Thanks Baz, we'll give it a try, should be pretty good in May, we've sat out the summer at home, bustin' to get going again, we reckon a bit of bush camping will be the bees knees,
