I believe NRL is National Rugby League. Started in NSW many years ago with the likes of St George Dragons ,Penrith Panthers, West Tigers . Now it Takes in Brisbane Broncos, North Queensland Cowboys and Melbourne Storm. No Teams from WA ,theiy're all to rolly polly over there, like wombats .There are no teams from SA. Crows can't play this game. Hope this helps wombat.

Follow the bookies. They always win the tipping competitions.
As for Rugby, the only version I like is Union, and then only the Super Rugby, or sometimes the Shute Shield on the ABC. I used to like the international games, but nowadays they get bogged down with line kicking and technical penalties. ISTM that when the referee's whistle blows, it is invariably for some obscure infringement. For example, player A might be penalised for striking the head of player B while not bound to the scrum, or player X might be penalised for stomping on the head of an opponent while standing in an offside position.

In Union it is illegal to come from behind. It's OK in League, though.
In fact I recall an international game against France when Gordon Bray remarked that Jacques Condom was penalised for coming from behind.
