Is there a setting in my profile that must be set that counts the number of posts that I make, as it never appears to increase, as my present count is the same as a year and looking back on my recent posts the count never seems to update.
Looking at this post, it has updated by one so does that mean you only it is only counted as a post if you start a new post.
Or are quick replies not counted, as that is how I usually reply to a post.

The count on ALL of your posts changes as you make new posts Your current count is 472 if you make another post it should change to 473..

Roite, well that previous post total was 2229, so this should be 2230, yeah? If it is, then my counter works but I'm afraid I can't suggest anything to solve your problem, David.
Just out of curiosity, I wonder if the counter changes when you edit a post.
No, it doesn't. But all previous posts click over to whatever the current one is. So my last two show the same number... 2230.

Thanks everyone probably don't have a problem now, just my misunderstanding how the counting of posts works, all good now, Thanks for all those posts Wombat, I suppose that will make me a guru or something now, I'm going to be very disappointed if this is not the case as soon as I post this.
But it looks that it will be a long while before I can become a master.

I think its 500 for a guru, I did not take the points back it was Dougwe, he's our local hacker.
