It's not often we think of QANTAS as an anagram for Queensland and Northern Territory Air Service... and it's probably something many people are unaware of.

a very long time ago, I worked for a major airport operator in the UK - we had anagrams for most of the airlines....
the crew in head office reckoned QANTAS stood for Queers And Nymphomaniacs Travel Australian Style...
