I was just watching the Townsville 7 local news and the floods and damage around Townsville was amazing. Here in suburban Townsville we were really lucky as all we got was a flooded back yard and down the side and about 2 foot of wet carpet inside the front of the house that copped Ita head on.
Driving around some of the back streets near by all we saw were tree limbs and backed up rubbish around drains.
I might even be able to move back into the Avan soon.
Very lucky indeed.

There was a storm in Taree a few weeks back - trees down, power out, and a helluva wind. But it lasted about 10 minutes. That was enough for me! I'm a wuss.
