I just got a new motor home that has a Thetford fridge - 3 way N401.3

There is no indication:

1. If on 12 volts (old motor home a green light came on)

2. If on 240 volts (old motor home a red light came on)

2. If on gas with the old motor home the ignition orange light would go out when the flame was alight - if gas runs out you would hear the clicking as it trys to ignite (will wake you up at night when gas always runs out!) - this unit has a small gauge with a needle but no audible sound if there is a failure

If a fuse fails or any other problem you do not know the fridge is not running till everything gets hot!

Has anybody done any modifications to overcome these problems?

I am just disappointed there is not indication that the fridge is actually running on 240 v, 12 v or when the gas stops

I thought that someone may have installed some indicator lights to show if the fridge is on or off -  for example if the power point was turned off or plug bumped out fuse blown etc, you would not know if the fridge was off
