Hi there to the most important people in the world - the travelling kind...
We have encountered small bugs that are able to get through the mossies screen on our caravan and was wondering in anyone had experienced something similar and or any solution. In the interim, we leave windows closed if the lights are on and only open when the lights are out.. We are currently in Victoria around Horsham.
Cheers and thanks allan and Joy

We have a coupla small bucket candles that are citronella based and we find that burning them either inside or out helps keep most bugs away..

Put some Raid into the van we use it and it solves those problems for us.

When I saw the topic heading I instantly thought you were referring to the feral wombat that hangs around here but the read further and realised his big bum wouldn't fit through the screens.
Do they bite and leave a mark like a mozzie? Might be midges.
Either the candle like Bob said, mozzie coil or even a spray of insect repellant with DEET on oneself.
Sleep well.
We got infested with ants one time, no fun at all.

Spray your screens with insecticide for surfaces.
Works for us, just freshen it up every few weeks or after rain etc,

We have started using the old fashioned sticky rolls that hang from the ceiling. Pin it near the light and they swarm to it.

We just close the windows if we have the lights on. Have only found them in a few places. Id rather that than a fifth wheeler full of dead bugs everywhere to clean up.

Have a look at this site. It is info from Byron Bay Council with some good suggestions.
Hi a bit late on this feed I know but I use a spray bottle with a mixture of citronella, tea tree or eucalyptus oil and fill with water and spray each afternoon around windows ,doors and grass area and also have the automatic spray that work well too and as for ants I use the citronella spray and also put talc down along their pathway and anywhere they can get up into the van and works a treat.
