Hi Everyone,
Are you travelling in Victoria or looking for a place to stay and do something a little different than the usual?
We start shearing during the week commencing April 21st and would like to know if any of you are interested in coming here and giving us a hand for a while. Ideally, you will be a friendly couple who would like to potter around our 3000 head sheep farm and help out with odd jobs and sweeping (not shearing) in the wool shed etc. I will be away for Thursday and Friday during this week of shearing so I am hoping that you could cook for the shearers and our family whilst I am gone. The kids are 14 and 16 and could probably do the work with a little assistance from you...as there is no school during that time. If you would like to come and spend Easter with us before we start shearing, you are more than welcome. Our farm is an ideal place for you to park your van and explore this wonderful region.
We are hoping to welcome you as part of our family and look forward to great times together.
The job is not hard...it just is a little easier and more enjoyable if we have someone to share it with.
If you would like a reference please contact SuPhil on this website
Hoping to hear from you soon,
Karen and Co

This is something I could really enjoy doing, I spent a lot of my younger years working on sheep stations, recently (3 weeks ago) I visited the station I first worked on at age 13yrs the old chap I worked for in 1952-54 passed away in 1972 and the place was sold off to a neighbour that only has cattle.
The old homestead and everything else including the shearing shed and shearers quarters is just like it was walked away from in 1972, it is all a bit worse for wear but nontheless still all intact..
Unfortunately Jenny my traveling mate has to work now for a while as she took 8 weeks off to come with me on our 15000k trip earlier this year..
Otherwise I would be there like a shot out of a gun..
BOB: So sorry you can not come this time...we shear in September also...maybe we will see you then?
It is great that you have had great time at that property and it is a shame it has gone to ruins. It would be awesome if someone did it up and used it again. Australia's empty houses.

What a great opportunity for someone who would like to experience farm life and shearing life.
There should be quite a few who are down there at the moment would jump at the chance to get out there and enjoy with a little odd jobs thrown in.
Great idea.
