We just use our regular supermarket one the same as we use in the house. When it is wet it all turns to mush regardless of whether it is a cheapie or a dearie.

Never even considered whether had to use anything special. Just use the old reliable Sorbent and everything's just a slurry when time to empty. Don't use the special chemicals either (they didn't stop the smell completely and contributed their own unpleasant chemical smell). Just use Napisan and Pine-O-Clean (or similar generic) as suggested by others here. That way there is nothing unusual that prevents me from disposing down normal effluent drains either.

You shouldn't use Pin-o-clean if you're putting it down septic systems, you'll stop the normal reaction that breaks down the effluent. I think the brand name Napisan is a bit of a no no too, but a search on here will give you more details.

HI ..
I always use the normal toilet paper & no brand nappy/fabric soaker. To guard against unpleasant odors, I use a couple of drops of pure eucalyptus oil.
Almost forgot ... I use olive oil spray on the bowl & seals to make them slippery after first cleaning the bowl with the usual toilet cleaner.
I use the toilet as normal & usually empty it every 3rd or 4th day. Not sure that the 'full' light has ever come on.

Only ever buy stuff that says "safe for septic systems". Probably shouldn't have used brand names in my post. I have a septic system at home too so am very careful of this.
