My question is this how,do you solo travellers decide where to go?

Hi Rondavoo, I just go where my mood takes me really or where various commitments take me.
I am currently heading from South Gippsland Victoria to Townsville Queensland and propt at Penrith near Sydney until Sunday. I will then leave and head up The Pacific and Bruce Highways just cos I can. I must say I am keeping an eye on all the rain etc from here to Townsville though so might delay my departure from Penrith. I am checking on all that tomorrow and make my mind up then.

Anywhere I havent been before. Have a destination and a date and lots of time to get there. EG Boggabri at the end of April - and a month left to go the 800km to get there. Look for camps with toilets near lakes or rivers, prefer lesser highways and small towns. Got to Tullibigeal on Thurs to find that the races are on so staying until Sunday.
Change my mind often, check out recommended places, go to a CP once a week to do washing etc. or if I want to leave the van and go exploring/shopping

Or somewhere I've been before, and know I like, via roads I've not travelled before.
I often look at the weather forecast and choose where to be for the next week on the basis of what the weather's going to be like.
Many have family/friend events or schedules, e.g. visiting northern relatives in winter. If you have particular hobbies or interests you could travel to where there are exhibitions/workshops/festivals/whatever. Same if you know anyone who needs a hand with something, or you could pursue volunteer gigs with organisations such as BlazeAid.
As a solo you're always allowed to change your mind, so it doesn't really matter what plan you make.

Hiya and welcome..
Me I would travel as far and when ever you want to..
See the sights you want..
3 month's on the road in America I had 5weeks of planed stuff I wanted to do.. did them and then spent the rest of the time seeing the sight's I wanted to see..
If you don't have to worry about work and such, just go and see what you want to see..
