Wondering if Mazda BT 50 owners are having trouble with their driver seats going down, loosing height on its own? We pump ours up several times a day and it continues to loose height. Mazda Australia have said they haven't had other complaints about this but on our travels we have already met other owners with same problem. Mazda are yet to solve our issue. If anyone has the problem and is interested to send us their rego we would approach Mazda with numbers to support our claim.
Thanks
Dianne and Stuart

Hi there, we have a slight problem in that the seat goes down once a day. Bob has to pump it up every morning. Doesn't happen with me but I don't drive for as long as Bob.
We had trouble with the GPS and have now been told it is the fault of our separate reversing camera being situated above the GPS. It knocks out 2 satellites so have moved it to one side and seems to hve cleared the problem.
Our rego is S005 AWE

Dianne and Stuart, my partner does most of the driving of our BT50 and has just let me know that she is experiencing a similar thing just recently. We've had the truck since August last year and we've done 10 000 kms. Let us know how you with Mazda.

Feedback from our call this afternoon with Mazda Australia. They say they are working on the problem on parts in Japan!! Stuart offered our seat as a real life situation to work on but they declined our offer. Stuart told them we are aware of other car owners with same problem but it didnt make an impact. We told them we are getting data together re number of problems and that we would forward the data to them. All they said was that we are on their data base and they will keep in touch. Stuart said it was becoming a safety issue due to the seat going down slowly, you think you are looking at a view through your mirrors but in fact it could be completely different view as the seat has gone down. ( if you know what I mean) they weren't phased!
Will keep you informed but if anyone else would like to add to our numbers please feel free to do so.

Well I can tell you if you don't get any satisfaction from Mazda you contact the ACCC to report faults such as this.
The links below are from the Federal Office of Road Safety and ACCC on why and how to report these issues. I encourage you to do so.
Why wait as the saying goes on OZ "for a death" to bring on the action.
Good luck.
Cheers Baz

Still on the road, therefore hard to get much action at the moment. However we chat to travellers with BT or Ranger and this is obviously a wider problem than we thought. One fellow suggested to google it and sure enough even one forum we found ozmazda.com showed there are many with the same issue, also with no outcomes. Will be away until week after Easter so will update with more info when available.
