I'm with OLD CROFTER regarding Tassie prices, payed on average in the last seven weeks $1.68.9 cents per ltr whilst there, and $1.59.9 near Batemans Bay on the way home on Thursday.

On our 15000k trip that finished last Tuesday the best price we got for fuel was at an independent a squillion miles from nowhere..
Diesel at Ban Ban Springs was 154 cpl while at Childers their closest big city was 163cpl.
Needles to say we filled up there regardless of the fact we still had 500k worth of fuel left in the tank..

$2.40 per litre at Drysdale River Station and Mt Barnett Roadhouse about 6 months ago. I was told it was $3.00 per litre at Kalumburu but cannot confirm that. If you need the fuel, you pay the price.

Here is something to read how Aussies are taken for a ride on diesel? In Nz its a lot cheaper then petrol 67 cents a litre cheaper then petrol???

yes here in nz diesel is cheaper than in aussie but..we have to pay 5.5 cents for every km for a car upto 2 ton than for every ton it goes up ..also for a diesel car it cost about 100 dollar more every year to register it ..and you have to buy the roadtax in advance ..if the cops stop you and you are behind in the roadtax you get a hefty fine and..have to pay the roadtax aswell

So I've been keeping a close watch on the price of Diesel Fuel.
Over the last couple of weeks, the cost has been dropping ( Going by Fuelwatch )
Funny thing is that the Bowser price seems to be stuck on the same price as what it was last month ???
I wonder if the price will come down or,
will the benefits continue to be held back by the Stations with-out passing it on to the Consumer. ???????
Cheapest Diesel in Perth today is $ 154.7 Cpl
If they were to take a Dollar off that price, that would make me Happy.
