I have a little Canon BJC85 portable bubble jet printer.
I have had it for about 15 years and it's still going strong.
I can leave it unused for months and it will still print with no ink dry out.
It is 240v only, which is not a problem these days with inverters readily available.
Don't know if they are still current, but a good little printer.

What sort of a reply is that Keith ? I don't think I'll be the only one who hasn't got a clue what you mean.
Cheers,
Sheba.

We have a Canon i70 which has its own battery pack and is very reliable and easy to use.
Ink cartridges seem to last a long time and are cheap and easy to get from USA.

I've only ever used USB and would choose it over wireless every time unless there was a compelling reason not to.
Are you intending to travel with it?

Yes Kevin C I do intend to travel with the printer.
I mostly use my ipad so they don't have usb ports, so thought wireless would be the go

We use a Samsung CLP-365W laser printer, does a great job and most of the time just plug in a USB and it prints from that. Much cheaper running costs than ink jets in my opinion and the colour rendition is excellent. Have found sometimes when on the road, sometimes its wifi seems to lose a few bits, that's why we us a USB stick mostly. Get sick of reprinting because there was a break in the wifi transmission.

We carry a Canon MP640 wireless printer/scanner and have no problems with it, we do have a good supply of cartridges as we do a lot of printing and we also have a really good supply of 240v power from our solar system.
You will find Hardly Normal or Uncle Dick have some good deals on printers from time to time but be aware that it is sometimes cheaper to buy a new printer than to buy original ink.
Do a search on eBay for ink before buying..
Ink for our printer costs around $30 for the Canon ink and $2.50 for generic ink

I have a wireless HP inkjet with scanner that cost $58 2 years ago. Does need power though but I find the scanner vital for documents that need to be emailed. The ink costs as much as the scanner. I do my business cards as well. It is very light and fits in a cupboard easily.
