Anyone heading north from Port a gutter, opps ment Port Augusta at Pimba just outside of Woomera is a rest stop at Spuds road house, its a donation box in Spuds roadhouse. Also great coin in the slot showers $1 x 2 coins in the box at least 8 to 10 mins of a hot shower, also got to try Spuds hamburgers there a meal on there own and last time i was there was app $8;50. App 6 kms south od pimba you can call Spuds on ch 16 uhf radio and put your order in, so if your in a hurry it be ready when you arrive at Spuds. Just a warning about Spuds, there fuel is app 14 cents a litre dearer then Port Augusta so maybe fill up jerry cans to get towards coober pedy as fuel a bit cheaper there, but my advise is ask other nomads on fuel stops are they give you the best info on prices. Hope this is a help to anyone heading towards the Alice or beyond.
Welcome to the gang graham, enjoy here and out in the playground.
I'm not going anywhere near there but it is always good to get info like that, thanks.

Perhaps pop this one in Free/Low cost Campsites. You will have to write it out again unless you ask Cindy to swap it for you.
It's great to hear of these spots for when we travel in the area.
What I do when in a particular area is go into Free / Low cost Camping and check the headings to see if anything suitable for me.
