I have and Avan Rhys and one of the blinds has jammed. It seems that the thread that feed through the actual blind wormer hass worn and the outer sheath has separated from the centre making the blind jam when I try and pull it up or down. Has anyone had this happen and if so what did you do about it??
thanks in anticipation

Sorry I can't help Tess, I don't know anything about those types of blinds, not sure who on the forum has that type of blind.
I wonder if some of the Avan motorhomes have the same type, maybe someone with one of them might be able to help.

Have you tried ringing A'van in Melbourne Tess? Or one of their Dealers for advice?
Thanks all, will call them when I get back. Just thought I could fix myself.

Hi Tess,
We have an A'Van Liam HT and have had all our screens and blinds go that way. They area a waste of money but to buy new ones theya re around $200.00 each window so we made our own screens out of micro insect screen, sewed velcro around the edge and used velcro on the window frame. I had to use pop-rivets in the bottom corners to stop the velcro from coming away from the frame. We have used them several times now and have no problems with them. We also replaced the troublesome blinds with curtains.
