I have a new triton and have been considering buying a good nudge bar. I have been told by a couple of installers that they are a waste of time to protect the front end of the car from roo damage. Has anyone had an encounter with a roo and felt the nudge bar did offer some protection to the radiator. cheers

Gday...
I would suggest a nudge bar is basically a very expensive mounting bracket for driving lights
But you decide which would protect best -
Nudge Bar for Triton
Bull Bar for Triton

No protection at all against a roo.
It is there to save scratching the grill in a shopping centre car park, or hanging spotties from.

G'day tugga go the bull bar not the nudge bar. hitting a roo at road speed with the nudge bar could find you out in the sticks with a dead car

Hi tugga,
I too looked at a nudge bar for my bt50 but also lacked the height to protect and did not like the bt50 steel bar i ended up buying a Smartbar which is a lot better in height as to how will it stand up on impact i do not know and do not really want to know.

Nudge bars offer excellent protection for the number plate.

Nudge bar on our challenger has driving light , UHF arial , and it protects me from the pedestrians walking
Around the place answering their SMS and listening to their music ??? And not watching where they are going
thanks to all regarding the nudge bar situation looks like I may give it a miss as I don't want spotlights or aerial and only looking at some protection from a glancing blow from a roo cheers to all replies
