After a few weeks looking for the hot weather and some good fishing spots, we have had 10 days a Tumby bay and caught 1 squid off the jetty, 2 nights at Pt Lincoln and caught nothing, 1 night at Dutton bay and caught 1 whiting.
Now at top touristCeduna for 2 days and caught 10 blue swimmers and I don't know what the attraction is, easy to catch but to clean and cook them and then try to find the meat??? over it and don't think I will bother again

Ken cook crabs in salt water, put on ice an hour or so, rip off shell, cut into 1/4's with machette or similar, separate 1/4's and clean out crap (lungs etc), wash and eat.

I get my crab meat in cans and never have any problem getting the meat out.

Hi Ken .I just spent 6 days at Mildura with 10 mates we fished every day and camped along the Murray.Score ?...... not 1 single keeper amongst us all !!! So don,t feel bad ! John.

I think you must be talking about Mud Crabs Baz.
For Bluies, boil salt water, drop in crabs, bring back to boil then leave in for 4 - 5 minutes. Remove & drop into cold (iced is good) water.
Tear back (top) of shell off, remove & rinse all loose "crap (lungs etc" then they are ready to eat.
They break open very easilly by hand, start with the swim flipper & a large chunk of meat comes with it, then every other bit of meat is gold.
Yummie, getting a hunger again now..ha ha
Don't forget to get a feed of fresh Pacific Oysters while there, also yummie.

Yes , verry nice, BUT....be aware of the bag limits. Also, head over to Smoky Bay and get your oysters for around $7 a dozen , fresh and unshucked direct from the boat

Looks like we missed a few items, but had a crab meat omelete for lunch and was ok
john you must be peeved that no keepers, but happy hour stories must have been good
went back to the pier and only got 3 crabs, so being a gentleman gave them to a fellow traveller to get him started
Will head off across the Nullabor tomorrow, so another journey starts

Sorry to hear she got crook, we well know that situation as our last trip round the block seemed like a 'hospital crawl'. We couldn't seem go past one.
