At last we've come across a cream that stops those pesky flies from sitting and crawling on nose, ears, eyes - it's a cream called Rosemary and Cedarwood Oils in a Natural Creme, made in Australia by a firm called Nature's Botanical. We bought it in Broken Hill after being told about it by a fellow caravanner but I hear that it can also be bought online. A tiny bit of the creme dabbed here and there does the trick; some of the more adventurous flies come close to landing, some momentarily land, but then they're gone. Wish we'd known about it sooner.

I love "natures" I gave it to family and friends at Christmas.
You will find it at most saddleries because we use it on our horses as well as ourselves.

Thanks a stack for that tip, Sherio. Those little black flies are incredibly infuriating and persistent!

Why not just eat them like that lost bloke did!
No need for concoctions.
The bigger the better.

The boss asked at the Moree Amcal Chemist yesterday and they have it on their shelves. $13.95 / 120G not to bad on the nostrils either. Thanks for the tip

.. I used to think Bushmans was the best available, but Sherio is right !! .. I believe I now have some thing which is of a natural base and second to none ..
Natures Botanical .. rosemary and cedarwood oils in a natural creme !!
Primarily prescribed to keep flies away from grazing animals so probably good for wombats too .. I simply can't say anymore than try it .. (I have no affiliation with this vendor at all)
(I found the creme more affective than the "roll-on" .. read all the data available)

Have been using Nature's Botanical for over two years, even on the dog. Keeps flies away from the face. Can only recommend it.

I have been trying to buy some following your positive comments and have rung the three main Camping stores in my area and also visiting Chemists and health food stores, there also appears to be a problem buying it on line, any suggestions.

I see it's available from the link provided by jonathon, but the price is $17.50 plus postage and is almost double what Crackles paid at Amcal Moree plus to buy it you have to provide so much information it's almost like you are applying for a job.
Good Luck.
