This Mexitorian will be safe now cos that snake will not need any food for the rest of this year and I will keep clear of any other snakes including any snakes in the grass.
I think cane toads should be very careful though

Doug I have been tramping around Nth Qld scrub for 20+ years and have never been seen wearing any sort of footwear. Often get asked "what about snakes" and the answer is " you have 20 minutes to get the snake to a vet or it's a goner". They are an overrated risk. Cheers.

I have seen how big they grow in Townsville KK, so will keep a big gap between them and me
There was an article on some tv show last week on Lake Moondarra caravan park and the big red claw there. It was on my itinerary but think I might rethink it.
