Einstein was worried that one day technology might be responsible for a generation of idiots. Were his fears founded?

They most certainly were, and sadly its not the exclusive domain of youngsters, many of our generation don't seem to be able to function without a mobile device close at hand at all times.
Seems some of us have nightmares about losing a signal to our mobile, closely followed by not being able to pick up a TV signal.

Well I for one love the fact that I have a Laptop on board with access to the internet,
My steering failed, Totally, Got onto the internet and had two video's down loaded into my laptop, with full directions on how to find and fix the steering,
The best part was where the steering cables were located and where they went too,
I had to pull the covering trim off the walls to find them, Remove the fridge to get at them behind it,
The secret screws hiding in the Dometic gas Fridge, ( 3 Way) To remove I had to take the door off and remove the cover plates to find them, One hidden behind the Fridge,
I would never have found them otherwise,
The fridge was built in, It wont come out the door,
Lucky I had an old set of cables on board that I finally got to work and reinstalled, They were seized up from sitting in water for years,
Lucky I was only 12 miles off shore when it happened, In range for the Internet connection,
Which still wasnt a problem for me, I could rig up a Jury steering system from Gear I had on board, Very crude, But it did work,

Ever seen someone in a group conversation pull out his/her mob and start texting? Hey, was the conversation boring?

Once upon a time natural selection was responsible for culling stupid organisms from the gene pool. Nowadays technology keeps them alive.
Come to think of it why have they eliminated critical thinking from schools?
We had it as part of philosophy for some reason *shrugs*

Grand children and technology... let me pass on what happens in my home when we have the little dears.
One is in a room sending messages on her eyepod to the other in the next room and so on.
Not interested in going outside even though we live in paradise 200 M to the beach.
I bought them a wonderful movie called "The Letter Writer" Honestly it is a beautiful movie and when I asked them what they thought of it all I got was.... wellll it was a bit lame....

Just remembering as an adolescent that my elder sister always had a phone glued to her ear. mobs had to be invented
Maybe some things never change, just the available technology,
