We're now happily camped on the waterfront at Waruma Dam (near Eidsvold, Qld) & will probably be here for a couple of weeks. For any looking for us we're in the first camp area (east of the toilets).
Hi Darrell, looks like a nice spot. How did the Isuzu 200 perform or is it too early to tell? I'm still seriously thinking of going the light truck sort of way.

Last time we had to go back up the road a bit to a high spot to get mobile reception. I didn't take my Lap-top, so I'm not sure about Internet Alice.
Hope you're on the mend.
Cheers,
Sheba.

Good to see water there, last time we stayed there the dam was only 8% full

The dam is on our list, so how are the fishing biting and are there any red claw in the dam?

Stayed there last year and will be back this year maybe in April/May, we didn't get internet and phone was very sketchy, we drove up top and that was to send a text, but have an Ariel this year so maybe that will help

Oldboar, you obviously have service there to post on here, do you use an Ariel? , we camped further along than were you are and had nothing so went to top of ridge to send a text.

No phones or internet down at the dam itself, we drive to the top of the ridge each arvo to check phones & net. Scott, second fill 600 plus km, delivered 19.4l/100km, bit steady on the hills but I think that will get better as time goes on. Pretty sure, with the way we're loaded that we'll need to put better shockies on the front for increased comfort but that's a minor consideration. John (Yoeleven) turned up today as well, now happily camped next to us on the waterfront.
