An 18ft-20ft "standard" full caravan cover was priced at $750.
ALDI had them last week for $100.
Sorry, but I don't love this country that much.

Gday...
Personally I don't care whether people buy from these suppliers or not ... just suggesting there are many items obviously Australian Made that are available.
I guess the old saying from the Rag Trade might fit in many circumstances - "Don't mind the quality ... feel the width!"
Cheers - John

We buy our fresh fruit ,meat and processed meats from only Oz,we no longer buy tinned fruit etc cause of the sugar content [so no SPC sadly ] as we only buy fresh particularly when we tour and only off locals. We don,t drive a local 4x4 cause we don,t have one .I do have a 1yr old local van but sadly most expensive bits come from overseas to wit.... gas BBQ,ally table, push bikes . motorised parking for vans, etc I always look forward to the caravan shows to buy off the folk in the little cubicles ..... BEST filters for one , water and electrical bags for 2,dumb stuff like glass holders, stubby holders, hose connections .need I go on ? no because most of you are like minded ! we all like something that catches the eye and suits our needs ,and most times they are made by a local husband and wife team just trying to make a fair quid ! I think that we nomads are very fair in general with our local monetary outlays but sadly it is clearly not sufficient in the big picture to make a big enough dent in the economy ! But like most of you other folk out their that truly care about our wonderful country we don,t have a simple answer, suffice to say that we just keep giving it our best shot. Cheers John & H.

We try and buy West Autralian and we are great supporters of Dick Smith foods. They are genuinely Australian grown and packed and all the profits go to charity.

Well said John, even tho we not aussies we try our best to support locals, We know we cant save everything but we can try. We only buy local fresh meat whenever we stay in a town. We buy our fruit from road side or local shops. It is very hard to buy much else local as so many suppliers are simply middle men for imports. Shame really in the end the country will be the loser. One thing that does puzzle me tho is if all the farmers are being forced to sell stock cheap because of drought then how come meat prices are going up? If fruit farmers are struggling to sell thier produce because of over supply how come prices are so high. Yes we bite the bullet but am guessing a lot of people just cant afford to buy local.
Beautiful country, great people just a couple of things out sink. Still gotta be one of greatest countries in world........ next to New Zealand of course lol.

All the gear I buy off the internet will not effect the local economy one iota,
None of it is made here any way,
I will only buy OZ seafood, Ive seen where the overseas seafood comes from,
The rest is Aussie food, Why, It tastes good, Price really dont come into it,
And I do know how and where its grown, and the people who grow it,
I also know some of the practices over seas people use to grow their food, I wont eat it,
Gday...
This site has many (if not all) of the products that are Australian-made.
http://www.australianmade.com.au/
I guess this should help us all to keep our Aussie companies in business. No excuses now.
