Please Please can someone anyone give me simple step by step guidance in how to use the P.M. system. I just cant do it properly

Hi Friar & Welcome.

Where someone has made a post, right click on their avatar name on the post and it will bring up their details and you will see Private Message at the bottom of their details.  Click on that and a pm field will come up, type in your message and then click send.  Hope that helps....

If you want to begin from scratch click on "User Details" on the 'menu  bar - as so...

This will open the following - click on New Message -

This will open the following - type the "member name" into this box - after typing it wait momentarily and the database will provide either the name or a list of names that you can choose from -

The other way is, should you wish to send a PM to someone who has posted a thread, simply click on their User Name and it will bring up this screen - Then click on the Send Message box -

This will bring up the following screen ... you will notice that the User Name you clicked on is now populated as the Recipient - simply then type your Subject and then the message and click Submit Message.
