Well folks it has been a while since I have been on the forum and thought I better update. Well we left Strahan on the 5th bound for Old Hobart Town, after taking C4 to the Dr due to a heart problem but was soon sorted thank God. We then set off and made Hamilton after the gruelling drive out of Strahan and Queenstown. Hamilton is a great camp spot in the camps 6 book #160 on a little river $5 per night they also supply for free yes for free, a washing machine and dryer what a bargain, and $1 showers long and hot. The next morning we made Hobart and set up camp out near the Airport at the big 4. We have been very fortunate with the weather Gods and have seen a lot around Hobart including a Bruny Island Cruise, caught the ferry from Kettering $35 return and it was a great day. Revisited Richmond and Port Arthur and Mount Wellington. Today thou we had the good fortune in meeting the MONGREL AKA Alan and Adele for a coffee and a chat and boy did the time fly. So the C1 has met K9 and his keeper, he he, great people and way too short of a time to talk about many things retaining to the GN Lifestyle, but I am sure our paths will cross again soon. Tomorrow we will pull up stumps and head up the East Coast and see what other adventures can be found.
Take care out there everyone

Howdy C1&2,
Great to see the Apple Isle has been kind to you and you're enjoying your travels,
We were down in Queenstown about 4 years ago with our 17' van,
sure wish someone had told us how steep the road was out of that place,
I think if I remember correctly I had 1 gear left to go in the Patrol then SWMBO would have had to push.
We loved the place and would go back tomorrow, ( if we won the lotto )
Have a happy and safe trip,
P.S....sure would like to see some nice pic's, just for memory sake.
cheers kiwijims

Glad you are all ok C1, I thought you might have all fallen down a big wombat hole. Not good about C4 but sounds OK now so good. I am guessing C4 is the Lady and C5 is the man cos C3 was left behind, poor little thing
Yep, agree, that road from Stahan through Queenstown nd on, or should that be up, is a real oozy, turn around though and come down into Queenstown and it's a good view for sure. Did you check out the footy ground in Queenstown, very interesting.
Glad you caught up with Mongrel and Mrs, um, Adele Keep enjoying Tassie all of you and tell C4 to take it easy from now on.

Thanks Guys will try and load some photos but at the moment we are having internet problem OH Well!!! At the moment we are free camping at Triabunna right opposite the Sandy Bay Hotel what a great spot. The young fella who owns the block also runs the take away and decided to open the block for the GN's and hopefully get some $$ flowing into the town. In saying that I went to the takeaway and got some lovely fish and chips for lunch then the butchers and got some lovely lamb chops and some snags then up to the chemist and got a few things, then to IGA and finally the pub!!!!! So as you all can imagine $$$ have been spent in the town. About a 100 Yard walk is the tourist info centre with hot showers for $4 so all good here.
Well bugger me I got some photos to load of Triabunna and our location to the pub and hot showers also took a walk around the foreshore and pick a few of these great oysters look at the size and yum oh.

Got it mate will talk when I get back on the mainland, hope you are well
A bit of cut up bacon and a drizzle of Worsteshire sauce, slip them into the Webber Q and enjoy a very tasty treat indeedy.
Just love the Oyster Kilpatrick. Must be the Tassie Oyster though. I admit that I had a few when in Tassie over the last couple of weeks.
